Picked up today, my 145.022 Speedmaster from 1974. Very happy with it, see picture below.

1974: the Raiders vs the Dolphins in the playoffs.

And I graduated high school.

As Frank would say, it was a very good year.

When I think of all the Speedmaster references, the one I'd most like to own is a '74. For purely nostalgic reasons.

74 was the first vintage Speedy that I ever had! Congrats

Thanks for all your nice replies. While wearing my 74 Speedmaster as much as possible, I see the bezel is very shiny and I really like that.

Do you know of what material the bezel is made of?

Very nice. I have a 1976 145.022 that I’ve owned for all of its 43 years. I’ll never sell it.
