Ever since my grandfather's 1965 Seamaster was handed down to me a year or so ago, I've been on the hunt for a modern one that tickled my fancy and at a reasonable price.

I picked up this slightly used white dial chrono in a F2F transaction at a price that I found more than fair. Came with AD warranty for another 18 months.

Got the leather strap from the local AD a few days ago. Really changes the character of the watch.

I like that black strap on the Seamaster a lot. Might have to get me one of those

I know it all boils down to personal preference, but I think it looks better on the black strap 馃憤

I like both. Leather is more elegant, goes well with a suit. Metal is sportier for Summer and short sleeve shirts. Great to have both options. Love the versatility of this watch.

Lovely purchase congratulations. May I ask what your he F18 Sailor name references? I鈥檇 imagine that there lurks quite a few ex military types on this forum and F18Sailor sounds very US Navy

Nothing to do with the Armed Forces. I race a Formula 18 Catamaran Sailboat.
