One thing, does anyone know the cost of taxes on $875 which is £586 that I may have to pay from the USA to UK and how would I pay?

 

Nice watch in a classic style. Unfortunately, you will usually pay about 20-22% of the declared customs value plus shipping. Basically, it's VAT plus a few extras. This has put me off buying watches from outside of the EU but, as the pound is so strong, you're doing far better than we are in the Eurozone...

Depends on carrier. Some ask for payment at time of delivery, some bill for it later.

The amount they charge depends on the declared value on the customs forms... if ya dig.

 

Ok. Does the seller when he sends the watch do the declarations on the forms? How do they know a watch is being sent over?

Yes, seller will have to do the forms and declare the value of the watch. Usually, seller would have to describe the watch too, case material, number of jewels whether manual, auto, battery.
