    Hi Everyone
I am hoping you can help me, attached is a photo of my late father Omega Seamaster. It is in good working order and I am hoping to pass it on to my son. Can any of you tell me the year it was made an any other detail you can please? I would like to label it for him.
    Thanks in advance
    Angus

I’ll reserve opinion on this. It’s unlike any Omega I have ever seen. An answer would be easier if you could show us what is inside the case, and the inside of the case back. The case back screws are a bit of an anomaly, I think.

    I agree. About 1983.

A Seamaster Mariner III (33mm round case version). Model Reference ST 396.0985, Caliber 1430 (Quartz).

The caseback screws are normal for this series. I have a similar model but in rectangular shape.

Here is a similar one sold by Kaplans in 2010.

Thanks so much guys, that's great feed back and a good place to start my research. I am really enjoying this vintage Omega research. He also has a Constellation Pie Pan, about 1965 I think. Had it restored, but the guy who did the dial didn't do a great job. Anyway, thanks again
