As his 'watch guy' friend, mu buddy asked for assistance getting this beauty serviced. From what I've read here, I'm thinking using Zaf at classicwatch is the way to go? The chrono seconds hand resets to a slightly different position each time it's actuated so a full service is required I'd think. Also, I'd like to source a period correct buckle; is Ebay the best option ? Thanks for the help, this is a very informative forum for a newbie like me
I've gone to Zaf to service all my watches, one of the best in the business He'll take care of it. If you've got any questions, feel free to drop me a message. (Also that's a very nice watch!)
He's in construction and a customer owed him some money, so he did a cash and trade (the watch) type deal
My father got a minty ‘66 Cadillac convertible this way back in the 90’s. He bartered his services for the car. He wasn’t a car guy but he had wanted one when he was poor back in the 60’s. He drove it twice and hated it. It became my car when I would visit home during college.
