Hi everyone, I'm new here. Just call me Mia I recently saw a watch online that I adored and after looking for a while I found one on ebay. The bezel is 18kt solid gold and a stainless steel back. I bought it for about $300 and it arrived today. It follows the time right and I really like it. Now I have some questions. Can I keep it on when I wash my hands or could that damage the watch? I don't really like style of the croco leather strap, do you have any other recommandations?
I don't really mind the strap except that it's not the right size. An elegant watch deserves an elegant strap. So maybe a black alligator or crocodile in the correct width.
Mia, Congratulations on your find, and welcome to our forum! What kind of 'hand-washer' are you? I wash my hands all the time wearing my vintage watches, but I'm careful not to splatter if I'm wearing. If your crystal fits tightly, the caseback is a screwdown, and you aren't a 'soaker/splasher', then you are probably OK. Best, Doug Add: Oh, my, just realized this thread is over a year old, not 2 days old! Just the same, I do hope you got your answer somewhere, Mia! ...and you are enjoying your pretty little DeVille...
