My first vintage Omega

Hi,
My first vintage Omega arrived: A 105.005 Seamaster Chronograph with Omega's calibre 321 movement. It really is a joy to look at and I hope it will serve me well for the next decades. I plan to get it serviced as quickly as possible and also swap out the strap for a brown alligator one (any recommendations?)

The watch has some shortcomings: the 12-hour recorder doesn't reset perfectly and I'm also doubtful about the hands (they are clearly vintage but are likely the wrong ones for this watch). Otherwise, it's keeping good time and it's a pleasure to wear 馃榾

nice. think the bottom dial not resetting is a simple fix at the service. Enjoy it!

Wow!!! I want to own a vintage chrono!!! Was into vintage seamaster and constellation lately as they are simple and elegant. May i ask how much do this chrono range. Always afraid to try chrono as i feel chrono are much more expensive and harder to maintain, expensive to service

Beautiful.

The cream stitch in the current strap makes that one work very well, as it matches the gorgeous dial. If you go gator, make sure you have cream stitching on it, too!

Congrats!

Did you post that one previously? I think that those hands are from an earlier watch. You should be able to source correct hands if you want. Enjoy it either way.
