Omega Seamaster Chronograph 145.006-66 cal. 321

After stumbling across Kov's "145.006 / 145.016 Seamaster Chronograph Research Thread" it was pretty much love at first site and I had to find one for my own. I researched as much as possible about the watch from that thread and the forum search tool along with the typical google image searches. I then felt I was armed enough to start my hunt. And there it was sitting on eBay... I checked all the supplied photos against the research available to me and everything checked out. I then contacted the seller to get a feel for its history and the old adage, "buy the seller." I then felt comfortable with making the purchase and began pricing negotiations. Once a price was pretty much agreed upon I leaned on an excellent forum member for a second opinion on the watch to make sure everything checked out. I messaged Kov with a few pictures and he messaged me back great news that I wanted to hear (thanks @kov!) I then went ahead and purchased the watch. When he tested it a second time before shipping it, the hour totalizer was not functioning properly and he offered it to be serviced before he sent it to me to which I accepted. I just got it today and attached my recently purchased NOS Spectre strap. I know it is the wrong color. I will be sourcing a few different style straps after I get home from vacation next week. It is happily on my wrist while I type this post and finally after my long winded excited paragraph here are some photos!

Sorry that a few photos didn't come out perfect. Photos take with iPhone 7 Plus. I am still trying to decide on which new camera to purchase.

Looks great !!

What’s next on the radar ?

Thank you! I am very pleased to be it’s new owner.

I still have a ‘60s Speedmaster on my list. I would really love to find a nice Omega example that catches my eye from 1957 to wear when I take my ‘57 Chevy truck out for cruising and ice cream runs with my sons. No specific grail just yet.

Lovey watch, sound like the eBay seller was legit and honorable. Not sure if OF has a page to recommend reputable eBay sellers but if so, you should share his info with the group....unless you plan to keep him as your secret dealer

WOW! Congrats! Very cool find, enjoy your watch.
I was on a comparable quest, finally I found a chronograph with a Lemania 2310 inside, but it doesn't say Omega on the dial.....

He has replied in this thread. He was fantastic. Excellent communication, great after the sale follow up and above all HONEST. He made sure to test the watch before shipping it and found it had a slight issue and gave me options on how to proceed.

I was hoping to keep him a secret, but the cat is out of the bag now ha ha!

You have a valid point. I will do a nice write up about it in the "Seller profiles and reviews" section this evening.
