Good day all. I've been lurking here a little researching for a premoon. The contributors to this forum are gold with regards to the wealth of information. Just picked one up from a forum member here. 145.012. 25m serial. Service hands and bezel, virtually no hippocampus but I liked the dial which seems to retain its original tritium (no charge when exposed to light) and it comes freshly serviced. Not a collectors piece but maybe a good honest 321.
This is a really nice watch, congratulations!! There is some obvious point you already highlighted but my concern is more about the lume test you mention... Could you explain more what do you mean about 'no charge'? Nothing nothing?
Hi Fost. Under a halogen light for a half a minute, the plots did not charge at all. Only the hands were lite in the dark.
Maybe to confirm get an ultraviolet light and see if the plots and hands glow the same. This is a real time test as to the authenticity of the plots. (Uv loupe or black light should do the trick) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They should still glow a bit. If it were scraped and repainted, then it looks like a pretty solid job. As stated, the watch has issues, and if you paid appropriately, then I would nothink be concerned. Congrats and looks very nice.
Exposured to UV from natural sunlight, hands I know to be later service and matched to the dial do glow, but I get nothing from the plots. All this watch had going for it was the dial, to find it to have been altered leaves a sour taste. Will take it up with seller. Thank you all for your input.
