Have wanted a speedy for years. This is the watch that had me interested in watches to begin with. For one reason or another, every time I was in the market for a watch, I would come across something else. I finally said, I am not buying another watch unless it is a speedy.

I was browsing the WUS for sale section for a few weeks, as well as ebay and watchrecon. I came across a members listing and pulled the trigger. Got a 3572.50 hesalite/sapphire sandwich in near perfect condition.

Great effort. The 3572 is highly sought after and looking at that movement doesn't get old! Congrats!

I got really, really lucky last week and walked into one of my local dealers... just as the former owner of a 3572.50 was walking out... ::psy::

Am I correct that there's two sandwich models? One with sapphire and one with hesalite? I think the hesalite model is discontinued now nut the sapphire is still available?

Correct. 3572 is the hesalite/sapphire and discontinued. Current ones are the 3573.50 (with their new serial number designations) and are sapphire/sapphire
