I only got into watches this year. Omega was the first brand I gravitated to. I was thinking what could my first Omega be. At first, I considered a Speedy. But at around June-July, I got seriously interested in the SM 300. I was consulting @the future, showing him the watches I was considering. After a few watches, I found one that had potential. @the future told me that the watch will be a "project watch" as it needed work. Here's the watch as I bought it:

I was able to get it at a very good price for the watch considering the fact that the bezel and crystal weren't original. I finally bought it mid July. @the future helped me source out the replacement crystal and crown. I was able to get the correct bezel from another forum. I also bought a Horween strap from worn & wound.

True to what @the future said, this has been a project watch! Since I bought this watch in July, I've already bought 5 other watches that I have already been wearing and enjoying.

Last Wednesday, all the parts for my SM 300 finally arrived!

Today, I got the watch back from my watchmaker, and here it is:

The "before" pic was taken under direct sunlight piercing through the window, making it look paler.

Awesome patina and it looks like the bezel patina matches the dial and hands perfectly!

:) Sorry I made a mistake about the traduction... I wanted to say " terrific" rather than "terrible" :D:D
