Hi

Just joined and wanted to celebrate my first Omega (wedding gift from my fiance). Been eyeing this up for a few months now and got offered a deal we couldn't refuse from an OB.

Love the watch but have a small issue with the box. One of the hinges looks ever so slightly bent and the box doesn't close without firmly pushing the lid. Should I swap out the box or am I just being overly picky?

I'm jealous of the box- my PO came in the cheapo white box. That's what you get, buying on the grey market, I guess.

 

The OB should swap the box for you.

Love it, I’d get the box swapped and I’d file away all the paperwork and receipts to keep for the future. 40 years from now when that’s a vintage watch it’ll be awesome to have all the paper work and original box.

 

beautiful watch. how do you like the rubber?

i'm having such a hard time deciding if i like the orange or the blue more. the blue is more formal and i love the way it changes around, but the orange/black is still pretty formal, but with a splash of attitude.

 

Thanks, I got the bracelet model so cannot comment on the rubber.

I have always preferred the black so was an easier choice for me but I had trouble deciding between all black 001 model and the orange accents, as you say nice splash of attitude.

Ah sorry. Love the accent of colour and love that the black matches the ceramic dial, and the mechanism is great. I looked at the previous model 232.30.42.21.01.001 but the matte grey dial just wasn't for me!

 

Congrats!! I have the exact same watch for just about a year now. While I wear it just about everyday I don’t beat it up or anything, the rubber insert on the bezel has held up great and looks just as it did on day 1. Now in 5 or maybe even 10 years who knows but so far so good.
