Nice Planet Ocean Calibre 8500, they're a great watch, I'm sure you'll get many decades of solid use out of it!

Never noticed that the new PO has closed 6 and 9.

How long does it take the date to switch over?

Is the he valve now lined up with 50mins? That's going to make things harder!

Don't think so, if you draw a line from 4 to 10 and extend to the vv, it doesn't quite intersect the centreline of the vv.

And on a real one, the plane of the vv isn't perpendicular to the line.

The more up angle on the face shots the more pronounced the "lines up with 10" illusion is.

Very very nice. Was it a tough choice selecting red or metallic numbers?

To be honest not really I found the metalic numbers a bit plain it was between this one and the orange bezel but after trying them both on I decided on the ceramic. The orange was just not subtle enough for me.

Oh boy, that's a really, really nice PO. IMO it is ready made classic right out of the box. I'm in the market for the same watch and I'm debating between the orange or metallic numerals. I know I can't go wrong either, but tough decision. They both wear beautifully on the wrist.

Enjoy it in good health for decades to come.

Sorry just had to post some more comments....

Imo the orange numerals make it stand out just that little bit more.
