While vacationing out of the country a couple weeks ago, I got a chance to compare a lot of luxury brand watches that are scarce to non-existent in my neck of the woods.

Tried a Sandwich 3573 Omega Speedmaster Professional at the AD and I was just blown away.

Not willing to pay the piper, I searched for a used 3570 or 3573 within my budget.

    Was wondering how I did?

I have a 14 day return option and my local watch repairman/dealer owns six of them so servicing/verifying it should not be a problem.

It looks legit, but I know nothing much about them other than they are just way too cool and it looks in pretty good shape for its age.

Also, where is a good place for leather straps?

I would expect the movement serial number and case serial number to match on a more modern watch like this...

I would also expect a 77xxxxxx serial number to have a Cal. 1861 inside, rather than an 861. In fact when I look that specific serial number up on the Extranet, it calls for an 1861 movement...

I don't think the case and movement were original to each other.

    Cheers, Al

I hate to see things like this.

Let us know how you get on with the return.

    Good Luck!
