Hello everyone, I'm brand new here and pretty glad to see what has been achieved in this forum. I'm 30 yo and had around 1 000 € from my friends to buy me a watch. I could go up to 2 000 € maybe if I really fell in love with a watch. 1) Could you please indicate me nice websites where to find Seamaster or Deville? 2) Could you please tell me what of think and what you know about the watch I've added in photos? Omega Classic Gold Details Diameter 38 mm Movement Automatic Glass Plastic Case material Yellow Gold Band material Leather Buckle Buckle Buckle material Steel Functions Small Seconds Special With box Condition Near Mint Thanks a lot! Hello Renaud ! Check the sales forum here periodically, you might find something interesting https://omegaforums.net/forums/watches-for-sale/ https://omegaforums.net/forums/private-watch-sales/ Concerning the watch you have added, it looks like a redial to me (OMEGA looks odd), but let's wait for more educated opinions
Run away from the above one........ At least this one is not a redial, just posted in another thread on here. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MINTY-vi...177438?hash=item2a652e929e:g:HrgAAOSwDNdV1UOsPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hi Renaud ! Deja Vu ..? You arent Michael right ? ..who posted an Omega vintage thread in the Watchuseek forum like 12 hours ago which bears an uncanny resemblance to your Omega gold classic watch. I had posted my personel views on his grandfather's watch
Do you know what's Raynaud's phenomena ? Ok.. Nevermine Renaud So i guess that's not your Grandpa or Uncle's watch huh... I'm not an expert in identifying fakes or redials but your watch looks mighty suspicious , the crown , hour & minute hands are all different & minute track markers went AWOL on your dial ! Mr Michael Grandfather's watch is the Real Deal & his story correlates very well with that historical time period. Here. I'l show youMichael's grandpa's Omega with the applied logo on the dialThe Strap has been replaced & the cracked acrylic crystal makes a lot of sense to me subsecond design above position 6 has no depression on dial unlike yoursGrandpa must have had his fair share of wine women & song ! Grandpa's 53 yr old watch is like this Your Watch is like this P/S : To My Revered forum Watch Gurus I hope we are dealing with a calibre 269 with a flat hairspring & not a Calibre 268 ( or Cal 285 ) which has that Breguet Overcoil Hairspring. I personally think the Cal 268 is kindda like "The Last Of The Mohicans" Fine...! That Indian had a Mohawk hair & No Breguet Overcoil hairspring. The Cal 268 nevertheless is a superb non chronometer movement BUT an expensive watch to repair if something goes wrong
HAHAHA This forum is pure fun To be honest, the "Omega" looked pretty weird to me too! Thanks a lot for your answers, I wasn't expected any replies so soon. And no, I'm not Michael, this is my first message on this forum and especially on this watch. I will totally avoid this watch and look at the links you have posted.
