Although I've always wanted to add a speedy to my collection but I didn't expect it to happen this soon. Was lucky enough to trade a couple of my watches for this 3570.50 with the 1861 cal. Now I'd like to add either a 1479 or 1450 bracelet...just need to decide how much I'd like to spend. Thanks for this awesome forum everyone, I have so much to learn.

TO be honest, unless you get a deal the 1479 is more bang for the buck vs a 1450. The 1450 is better no doubt, but not the stupid money they bring. Nice watch. Good luck here.

Based on my limited research, the 1450 is the "one" to have and current prices for these are about double of the 1479...pretty crazy. Just curious, what makes it "better" than the 1479?

Congrats. 3570s with the tritium dial are pretty rare, they only made them for roughly a year, 1996-7. In fact I am a little confused by the drop S & r dial, the tritium 3570 didn’t have that AFAIK so I wonder if you actually have the earlier 3590 with the 861 movement.

Very nice @jam karet and I love the colour of the leather strap. Very cool contrasting look on your beautiful, 'clean looking', Omega Speedmaster. This is exactly the kind of 'Speedy' that I need.

On the subject of bracelets: Can anyone tell me if any of the later (1980 to date) Speedmaster models will fit on a 1970's 1171/633 bracelet? When I say "fit" I don't mean 'correct'. I just mean a Speedmaster head that will look OK and fit securely.

I am looking to 'replace my vintage, 105.012-65, head with a more 'everyday, anywhere' watch to wear on my Dad's 1970's 1171/633 bracelet. I will then go on the hunt for a 'vintage' 1506/16 flat link bracelet (or a really classy leather strap) to go with my 105.012-65 head.;)

Love the drop S & r, makes for a subtle difference over more modern versions
