    I have been looking into getting a Speedmaster Professional since I got into this forum. Finally, I had a chance to pick my first one up from one our members (Knapp1307) and I decided that I want to be a little different from others by getting a "Chocolate" dial (311.32.42.30.13.001).

    I also decided to get a sapphire glass only version since I can't stand seeing scratches on my watch face. Please don't say anything bad just yet lol, I know the purist will always go with the Hesalite glass. I plan to use this watch to alternate with my planet ocean. Now I understand why the Speedmaster people love this watch so much.

    It's an excellent watch and classy, in its own right. I love the chocolate dial since being a little different can be a good thing from time to time. :) Here are the pics.

    Great watch that in a few years will be shown to be under appreciated currently. Even if the vintage thing goes away the brown dial while vintage inspired still looks modern. Plus the watch goes with everything with the black and brown combo. Let's see some bright light pictures that pop that brown dial!!!

    Is the dial noticeably brown in person? In pictures it can be hard to tell, but yours looks black.

    It does look brown in almost exactly like chocolate color.

    I've always wondered how this dial would look under an hesalite glass , if I ever customize a Speedy that would be one of the dial I'd think of .

    I agree..I pity this model wasn't fit with the hesalite...would have been a killer combo. I found the sapphire crystal on my x-Moonphase Speedmaster gave the dial a milky texture because of the light reflection. I can see how the sapphire kind of negates the "chocolate" effect on this model. A beautiful watch nonetheless..!

    Beautiful watch::love::

    I remember reading that you can't install a hesalite crystal on a sapphire case.
    What about the brown dial? Is it the same measure than the black hesalite one?
