Hello everybody! I'm new to this forum and to the art of watch collecting. I've always been fascinated by watches but don't know very much about them nor own many. I recently was gifted an Omega Seamaster Cosmic. I know very little about the watch and would like to learn more. So please share any information you may have about this piece! Thanks in advance, Steven
Cosmics are one of the best value Omega's IMHO. Their movement is relativity cheap to service and pretty robust. Yours looks to be from 68-72 (which your inscription on the back corroborates) Wear in good health and welcome
Be wary when you get it serviced to carefully choose someone that is capable of working with these front loaders.
And don’t let the watchmaker polish the case, or it will lose some of it’s original shape. Enjoy it! Great start Also the SBB are the swiss national railways.
