Just wanted to say thanks for the add, just picked up my first high end watch after collecting for a few years. Really love this piece, does anyone have any experience with Aqua Terra's or advice? Thanks - 7EryL4V[1].jpg jLJ2vbV[1].jpg tlGQcDl[3].jpg

Nice grab and beautiful watch. I don’t have that particular one, but the AT with the 8900 movement. Very versatile piece and seems to go with every occasion. Plus you have great strap options

Thanks, beautiful piece- I was wondering about the OEM rubber and leather straps- are there any places to buy them, would an AD even have any? I think there is a UK shop selling the rubber one's without the hardware but for like, $350. Anywhere I should look?

I bought mine with the rubber strap, but I ended up buying the bracelet through Omega US. If you’re going NATO, there are plenty of great options and companies. But for rubber or leather, I’d go OEM and stick with Omega.

Nice looking watch! I bet that dial looks beautiful in the sun! Welcome to the forum from a fellow AT owner.

I will say the pictures, especially on Omega's site, don't do the watch justice, because they are mostly renders. I also really like the 18k gold hardware, really makes the piece look as dressy and high end as it is.

    Congrats.

From a strap standpoint maybe go OEM blue alligator. You might be able to find one reasonably priced from a trusted seller.

Also possible option is the blue cordura for a dress down option. That is what I have on my AT. I could not find it online and said why not ask how much at an AD. To my surprise only 230 took a week to come in. It’s extremely comfortable.

I know they also made a gold stitch (came on a bond watch) might go well with the gold sticks.

I’m a bit late to the thread, but I also just obtained my first Omega (a surprise wedding gift from my wife!) and it’s the same as yours, but with the black wave dial. I found out they made 3 (black, blue, and a white wave version) in 2016.

The wave pattern was to be a tribute to the Portuguese tile sidewalks of Copacabana Beach in Rio.

I totally agree with the comments about the photos not doing the dial justice. If you look at it flat, you see the waves, but it’s also a higly-lacquered dial, so at many angles, it is glossy pitch black. The outer rim is also matte black, which makes the main dial pop even more.

I am considering getting a cordura stap or even a black/grey nato strap for the future, but I’m loving the steel on steel for now!

Really beautiful! These are such sleeper models. Everyone that sees them in person loves them, aave they are pretty rare in my experience. Welcome to the club.

The blue looks great! Glad to see it’s durable enough for daily wear. I’m still wearing my citizen more while I get over the initial “don’t scuff the watch” paranoia! They told me to get over that at the Omega boutique because they said they polish and buff out most of that when the watch goes in for service every few years anyways.

I still know next to nothing about all of that.

One thing I have noticed is that the power reserve is insane. You can go close to three days without wearing or winding it!!

Really nice strap.. if you don't mind me asking what's the clasp look like?

My buddy has the 007 Aqua Terra and I really like his blue cordura stock strap
