Hello, I'm just starting my Omega journey and yesterday I picked up this beautiful Omega 2777-1 SC. This watch is amazing. I'm sure this is the first of many Omega Mil/RAF watches. Let me know what you guys think. Also, I live in Miami, so does anyone know of a good place to have this watched serviced at here?

Nice honest FA. As some of you know the model is one of my favorites and I think greatly undervalued still.

Sourced this 2777-1 FA few years ago.

These 53 RAFs were the first Railmasters and are indeed undervalued.
The only problem with FA ownership is that this spawns the need to acquire a 2777-1 thin arrow with original dial and hands. These are much harder to acquire.

Does yours have the doo-hickey inside?( has there been a formal name for this piece, yet?)

    Nice example.

Anti-magnetic dust cover. Cannot remember material of cover? (Also has “spring” ring to hold cover in place.)

    Very nice Fat Arrow, congrats.

As was said to me 3 years ago when I bought my first one... "Level 1 passed, now to level 2"

    2.5 years later..

    Nice honest looking catch!
Seems I managed to catch two, so guess one could be spared! 79D0F0F5-9CFA-4734-BF9B-5C7CE8FECDCF.jpeg 17A815FD-79CD-4848-85CE-ECCCC5748CD6.jpeg

Wow-what a catch for your first run out in the vintage market!! One of these has been on my list and I’m never fast enough to grab them when they pop up.
    Congrats!

I was planning on taking it in today for have the movement inspected, but that didn't happened today, so next Saturday I'm going to take it in have a general service done. I've kept it wound the past three days and it has kept time perfectly. Once I have it service I will have pics posted.

You have got to have an amazing collection of these, I watched the Smiths and Hammy you were selling longingly but wasn’t in a position to buy as I had blown it on 3 other big whales right before you listed them. Both of those are high on my list...above the Omega I even think only becuase they are far more affordable.

That feeling is shared by many when we stare at other member’s unobtainable.
