I have a small collection of vintage omega watches, I never thought I would buy a modern one but when I saw the Snoopy I started to look more at modern Omegas. Well the Snoopy is all sold out and I am not sure it was really for me anyway. I looked at the planet ocean and the SM300. In the end I went for the SM300. I was planning to buy the Spectre version, but after trying it on I did not like the Nato strap and how it sits so high on the wrist. In the end I decided to go for the standard SM300 and bought the leather strap as well. I won't get the strap until the summer as they had to order it and I will be back in the Middle East until June. I believe that I got the last strap omega had in stock in the UK. I love the simplicity of the watch and how uncluttered it is. Here are a few pictures,although they are not very good.

 

I like this reference. It has a simple and attractive design and great utility as well.

Congrats. That's the version I would get as well. Not a fan of the LE version.

 

I was convinced that I would get the LE but it just goes to show how important it is to take time to consider the options and try them in the flesh.

 

Can never go wrong with that the SM300 CM! Such a classy throwback.
