My First Longines Has Arrived

    It's dial and 14k gold case look NOS, but are not. It has the less sought after cal. 280. The lugs reeled me in. Here's a few quick shot. Excuse my fingerprints on parts of the case.

    Wow - nice shots! Those numbers seem to pop off the dial! And and at that price - what a steal!!

    Nice one! You got a great deal on that. :thumbsup:

    Those were usually found on dials of the front loading cased watches of the very late 50's and 60's, particularly on Admirals and Grand Prizes. They catch the light just enough to give a little flash without blinding you.

    Those faceted Arabic numerals are fabulous, IMHO Omega had nothing on Longines dials during this period.
