I've never been on this subforum, so decided to show my little IWC ref 431.

I am happy to see IWC lovers here. Funny, I took this watch to IWC boutique in Southern California, they told me, "Sir we only can service IWC watches here. The Sears at the North end of the mall has excellent selection of watch bands for you. Please come again " [Fake smile and thinking: when you are rich enough to own one of our watches...]

Sounds like South Coast Plaza? Luckily my experiences next door at Vacheron were much more pleasant.

Oh sure I do : ) I don't take myself seriously with a watch bigger than the bottom of a Coke can. I think it can stop a bullet!

I love your IWC 52 T.S.C. Been searching for one for many years and eventually settled for the 2002 Big Pilot being the closest to the 1940 original. IMG_0914.JPG

That is a great looking watch! I am sure you will enjoy it for a long time. If you are looking for one, James Dowling may still have his for sale.

He figured it out after a few minutes pause. I didn't have to tell him anything, he remembered seeing one during his visit to their museum.

You think it is amazing? After a while the magic wears off like all watches. End up in an endless cycle of getting something else to get the "new watch" high. And, just a technical point, all B-uhren are 55mm.

I love the big pilot. But why does it have to be so big. Can't they make a medium pilot?
