and it's a G382! little dings and scratches show it's definitely not a safe queen. The largest of my vintage chronos by far, huge dial presence but still wears nicely on my small wrist due to the short lugs. 3 generations of Zenith dress chronos! Many thanks @LouS and @MMMD for giving me the confidence to go thru with the purchase, and thanks @Mick Tock for the heads-up on a replacement chrono hand!
Your first EP? I'd say you started with a bang! And the other two aren't exactly slackers either. Congrats!
Nice Zenith collection Only 250 pieces if I am correct... A rare bird I would be curious to know if these 2 specific watches are from 69 or 70? Is there a mean to confirm the production year based on serial number?
Not really able to confirm production year, only sequence. All the examples of the G382 (of which 7 in the database) carry "D" series production numbers, which could put them in 69 or 70 (or even slightly later). Two are extremely low, which I imagine are examples of small runs made in very early production of a number of references to prime sales stock at dealers.
Nice find I don't know much about the Zenith watches I curious is the movement a house our ETA? Congrats!
Well, no big deal, just busting chops, we were all noobs at one point. You've got some reading to do, though, sryukon. Here's as good as any place to start: http://gearpatrol.com/2013/11/26/icon-zenith-el-primero/
Base service cost - £250, parts (excluding chrono hand) - £130. Fabulous job by @WatchGuyUK, worth every penny!
Hang in there, it really takes very Long, I would go with willie if I were u. Pay a bit more but 3 months is kind of the Max as Long as you keep to his good side.
