    Hi all,
Well, after the ninjas of disappointment left their calling card, I went to pick up my first Constellation today. I think it is a gorgeous, entry-level pie pan ($650, inc postage). At 35mm it is my biggest watch so far, and I really like the wrist presence - I've also got a 31mm and the difference is huge (yes, I know it is just 4mm, but....)

On eBay, I didn't mind the verdegris (character ;)), but now I think the verdegris on the dial is going to get to me, so I think it will be a case of upgrade at some point, and then flip. But not in any rush. How hard is it for a good watchmaker to get the verdegris off? Or is it too much of a risk?

Also, it currently has a blue band, any views on what other colours might work?

Here is the original ebay listing, with more pics:

I'll put up my complete collection in a separate thread, and some thoughts on where to next for me.
    Daniel

Constellations with original pie pan dials are always in demand so you won't have much trouble selling it when you're ready. Enjoy it for a while - you might not ind the patina after you have it a few weeks, and if you do no biggie since there's always a market.

I'm not really complaining! I love the watch, the black and gold of the hour batons and the hands work very well together, and you can only see the green on close inspection. I certainly can't see it when I look at the time from an 'ordinary' height. It is only when I get down close to inspect it.

Oh, my other question was, I included a photo there of one of the lugs. Is that considered too polished, or is that reasonable?

The more I wear it, the more I love it!
