Hi pristine members of OF, I just brought a vintage omega of my long admiration with the price of around 1900$. (Come with a box which i dont think is original) it is model 14393 with arrowhead and crosshair, really take me a few years to find one with somewhat satisfactory condition. With how much I tried to do research about these vintage watch, it really build up my anxiety and fear about non-original piece. Please comment how you guys think about this piece, pirce wise, conditon wise, I will love to be all ears about it!

Ps. Any one who are willing to let go of their constellation 14900 or 167.005 stainlss pie pan with no date, please do tell.

Fairly healthy price point for the condition presented in the pictures, plus metal composition/wear/polish. But, the main thing and most important thing is, you like it as it sits.

Now, with knowledge, one day another example will pop, and you can pounce and upgrade. No harm, no foul.

Enjoy the journey.

Thank for your heartful comment, that is a really good point about liking it as it sits. Can't wait for what's more to come.

Congratulations on your new watch.

The box could very well be original to the watch as it’s the correct type for an early 60s Constellation.
It looks to be complete with outer sleeve.
If it has the inner tray that holds the watch you have a very nice bonus addition to your watch.

(BTW why didn’t you post this in ‘vintage Omegas’ rather than watch reviews?)

Thank for the insignt! I am not sure about the inner tray, i will be back with the additional pictures soon.

What do people usually post in the watch reviews thread?

Usually, about the watch itself.
How it performs, how it looks, how it feels on the wrist etc.
This can be any watch, vintage or new.

Your post would have more eyes on it in the vintage section that’s all.

Very nice box for your Constellation.

The card with the tab and indentation, for the watch to sit in, is the bit that is often missing.
To have the upper suede cover is a bonus, as is the outer sleeve.

Being an early version, complete and in good condition, the box is probably worth a couple of hundred dollars - so you have scored there.

Whilst there is a Constellation specifically known as 'Calendar' (as it is actually written on the dial) Omega also refers to watches with a calendar complication as 'calendar', so, as I mentioned earlier, there is no reason to believe that the box isn't original to the watch.
