    Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, been on Watchuseek for a while, but thought I might get more info here. I've been a watch fanatic for a few years now, having a 1996 Speedmaster Date, 1950 Longines 9L, Hamilton Viewmatic, Citizen Eco-Drive and a coupla quartzes...

For Christmas my dad decided to hand down his older Constellation. He did not buy it new, and so didn't know much about it other than the obvious.

Based on what I can find it's a reference 168.0057, caliber 1021. It is a stainless case with gold cap.

    Strap is non-original.

I note that it does not have the typical Constellation star on the dial. The hour markers have some sort of black overlay.

Can anyone confirm 168.0057/1021, and expand on this information? From what I find the 1021 should be a pretty solid and precise movement, but I find very little about this particular model. Any information greatly appreciated.

Seems like the two text boxes have reversed locations (normally the 'Omega' block is at the top, just below the symbol and the 'Constellation' block is the bottom. Also usually can see "swiss made' at the bottom. Guessing this is a redial at a minimum. I'm pretty new at this though, so many may follow and prove me incorrect.

This is also a C case Constellation. May account for the differences mentioned. Also most Constellations discussed here are slightly older than yours. But the knowledge here runs deep. Be patient.

Just did a Bing search of C case Constellation on BING and your watch as pictured came right up. Give it a try.

The Swiss Made is visible, just not in that picture due to angle... the layout of text matches the image on the Omega site of 168.0064, they don't have a picture of 168.0057 but when I do a google search the 57 appears pretty much the same

Dial looks normal for this reference. I believe the swiss made is hidden by the photo

Is the .0057/cal1021 correct (based on what can be assumed from the picture, I have not opened the case to confirm the movement)

Is "C" case something particular or just a random description of the case shape?

The OP's watch is gorgeous ... I added a similar C-case to my collection not long ago. They are irresistible ...

Well the Chronometer spec and recent service seem to still ring true... -2sec after 3 days so far!
Far better than my 1996 Speedmaster Date has been in my ownership (since 2009) and better than my Hamilton Viewmatic, which I purchased new in 2012, has ever been.

It is lovely. I like the strap too - do you know where that is from?

If you're referring to the navy blue band in the first picture, yes, I just bought it!
    It's this one
    http://www.clockworksynergy.com/sho...-vintage-blue-leather-traditional-watch-band/

Only thing I dislike is the buckle portion is gigantic. My look into finding an Omega buckle to put on it eventually.

The band quite honestly is nothing special, but I already had a black band/gold watch and a brown band/gold watch, so I figured I'd change it up a bit, and the navy really sets off this watch great, plus I wear a lot of blue/blue complement color stuff so it makes it pretty versatile for me to wear.
