My dad bought this in Singapore in 1969. No idea of value and struggling to find anything the same?!

Cool, nice looking vintage cosmic, they’re a great watch to wear, not overly valuable but worth spending the money to service and wear

What an heirloom to remember your dad by!
Thanks. Unfortunately he wants to sell it! Otherwise I would have loved to have it.

Can you buy it from him?

Search using keywords like omega cosmic 135.017
Thanks, I had tried but couldn't find anything with the same strap. My dad doesn't do the internet so was just trying to find out a rough value of it for him.

I think he was hoping it was worth a bit more than it probably is, so he will probably end up keeping or I will buy it from him.

The gold plated bracelet will add $100 at most.

I hope you buy it from him. I'd love to have an original watch like that in my family.

It’s a great piece I’d keep in family. It’s gold plated so there is no gold value in it.

pretty neat.

That’s a super nice watch. Looks in top notch condition and the gold-filled/black dial is a great look. Not overly big, so I’d say unisex.

If you like it at all, buy it. Take into account that it the movement probably needs servicing, and your dad should give you a “family and friends” price. You can find out what it’s worth by looking at eBay sold listings. Search Omega 135.017, and add something for the bracelet. It’s a beauty.

$6-500 would keep him and you happy.
Not really worth that much more, probably a few dollars more but mostly dealers profit other than real value.

I have a SS one

Very handsome watch, bought new a few days before I was born. As everyone says, it’s not particularly valuable on the market, but that timeless design, coupled with the aggressive combination of black dial and gold plated case and bracelet, gives it a powerfully funky vibe. Plus, most importantly, your dad picked that son-of-a-gun out himself. Please find a way to keep it.

I really love those old hand written receipts.

The watch is pretty awesome too. You father had great taste @Kellie 13 👍
