    Greetings (again),

Excuse the size of the pictures. I've just had this watch serviced and found out it is a 505 movement. Case number is 852-95C. Not sure the value of the case number, but I'm starting to think that I really have a gem here with the 505 movement.

This is one of my favorite dial styles.

Actually, what you are seeing is the case reference number. It should read 2852-9SC.

The "2852" is the actual case reference. The "9" is the 9th production run of this reference. Sometimes there are running changes to the style, so this number may be important.

"SC" means center seconds (in French).

    Hope this helps,

Great information to have. The guy who serviced it wrote it down for me but it looked like he scratched out the "2", so good to know the real #. Thanks!
