Hello everyone and greetings from Italy!

As a first post I wanted to share this "little troublemaker" I picked up a couple of months ago and have been falling in love with ever since.

It may not be as iconic as the Pie-Pan, but the way this dial plays with light is something truly special. The color itself shifts depending on the light temperature - cooler tones bring out the mother of pearl, warmer ones push it toward ivory. But what really gets me is the dynamic interplay of shadows created by the curved dial and the plexi crystal together - it's genuinely spectacular and almost impossible to capture in a photo. The onyx indices contribute to this beautifully, adding depth without stealing the show.

I specifically wanted the no-lume version and the straight lugs - to me they give the watch a cleaner, more architectural look that suits the overall character of the dial perfectly.

I'm looking for a correct BOR - 1068 or 1503 - but decent examples are not easy to spot, and the 527 endlinks are almost impossible to find at a reasonable price. So in the meantime I grabbed a 2034 mesh on eBay, just to have something different from the alligator strap it came with. The leather looks absolutely correct for the piece but perhaps a touch too serious for everyday use.

Looking forward to learning from this community - and to finding those 527s someday!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Welcome @nonnaccio
Congratulations - you have a very lovely .010.
I’m a big fan of the simplistic elegance of the dome dial in this case reference.
Nice dial and sharp case.
Does it contain a cal 561 or the more likely cal 564 movt?

Oddly enough, one of the quirks of this reference is that Omega also produced it with both onyx inserts and lume.

Hi @Peemacgee, thanks for stopping by and for the kind words!

To answer your question, it runs the later cal. 564 with quick-set date. What surprised me is how accurate it still is after 60 years - gaining only 4-5 seconds a day, which is frankly better than my daily driver, a Speedmaster with cal. 1861. Not bad for a vintage movement!

Don’t be surprised, these 56# movements are so good.

Lovely watch you have. I hope you find the correct bracelet. I noticed many are stretched out pretty bad.

Nice one - congrats.

The 527 endlinks are still available at Omega - not cheap.

Nice catch. I picked up this a few weeks ago. It needs some TLC but these refs are more under the radar that their dogleg brothers.

That is simply beautiful. It reminds me of my Tissot 42520 that I posted about recently which was introduced in 1971, especially the lugs and the silvery curved dial (not very clear in my mediocre photo), except the Tissot lacks those lovely Dauphine-style hands. Not surprising as Tissot is Omega's entry-level sister brand. I know just what you mean about how it changes appearance in different lighting. Enjoy.

From my perspective I think that this watch is absolutely stunning. The combination of colours that creates the unique light reverberations is truly wonderful, making this spec one of my favourites and it kinda intrigues me a little jealousy ngl😀. Also, you’re very welcome to OF!🤝

Yes very similar. I love the Seastar line as well.
