I managed to score this rare and beautiful 40s Angelus Chronodato through a trade. The dial which originally was gray has aged to a nice olive green color which matches well with the color of the radium hands. The stailess steel case is crisp and in very nice condition. Watch runs well and keeps good time. Its also fairly large at around 39 mm. Another great addition to my collection.
Congrats! Cool looking piece. I have a Chronodato that I am slowly brining back to form. I have to find a 45-min register hand. The one missing part - they are not easy to find!
congrats! Imho, the most beautiful dial variant of the Chronodatos! But the chrono hand seems to be a replacement.
I saw one last week in person - similar patina, that had a more tropical-ish dial. Was very attractive. I think tmr whole thing - the fonts used, the dial configuration, the dial patina and hands, really makes these chronodatos stand out.
