Well its been just over 11 weeks and she’s back from her visit to Simon Freese Watchmakers ltd. It’s been freshly serviced and fitted with the new hands thanks to Michael e. Chuffed to bits!!! I almost forgot how stunning these Seamaster 300 2913 models really are. Great comments from Simon too, one of the straightest honest examples he’s seen. are.

You Brits are so lucky to have Simon and STS. Having heard yet another harrowing tale involving sending watches from the USA to him, I can only dream of my 2998-6 getting the spa treatment it deserves. Unless I hand carry it.

Problems with UK customs...and then US customs. I don't have the nerve to subject my watch to the possibility of loosing it.
How is this any different than buying a watch from the UK? That it’s marked “repairs” and that causes problems? I just purchased a watch from the UK and it was here on the west coast of US in 3 days. Curious because I’d like to send Mr F a watch to work on...
Has only been cleaned and serviced, was already in great condition. It had been sat in a glasses case for over 15 years with an old neighbour before I spotted it.
