    Received this as a Christmas present, I'm no expert but very happy with it be interested in any comments from members with more knowledge of omega watches if they know age etc

    Hi Snooks and welcome!
    The serial number dates this to 1984, not quite a vintage yet and quartz movements are not followed by many here.
    1430 is the quartz movement number.
    I think it may be a model called "Monaco" but we need some more numbers off the inside caseback to tell for sure.
    Look for numbers like 196.0264, may have a couple of letters in front of it.

    Sorry couldn't be of more help, we haven't quite embraced the quartz yet.

    Nice daily wear piece, btw don't get it wet, although the name Seamaster sounds like it should be waterproof its a 1980s dress watch so assuming no water resistance is the safest approach.
