Thanks for helping identify my '52 automatic way back in October. On my last report, I had had it serviced by "the only watchmaker in town" (Fort Wayne, IN).

8 weeks later it starts losing minutes. As in 6+ per day. I'm afraid to try and wind, and discretion being the better part of valor - it's now a beautiful paperweight because I am completely unable to find someone (besides Mr. Archer) who can give it a thorough overhaul. I've tried the NC shop and the MI shop...had serious sticker shock at one, and incredibly bad press on the other.

If not you folks where can I turn? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you go back to the guy who serviced it? No warranty on the service?

Have you checked with Nesbits in Seattle?
