Seaborg
路Dear members, have a nice and happy Speedy Tuesday !
For this particular occasion, I wanted to share with you the comparison of my newly acquired 105.012-66 HF (from @naidu) with my 145.012-67.
The manufacturing of these two Speedies was separated by a relatively short time (about 2 years). At a first glance, they can look similar but I believe they have quite different characters. I also think they have both all their original parts.
145.012-67 SP (aftermarket Seiko mesh bracelet)
105.012-66 HF (Omega 1039 bracelet)
105.012-66 HF
145.012-67 SP
I don't know if it's very visible but the DON of the 105.012-66 HF (on the right of the following picture) looks slightly faded (as compared to the 145.012-67 SP on the left). The patina of the plots anf hands of the 145.012 is also more pronouced. When I compare the dials, the 105.012 looks to turn a bit grey as compared to the deep black of the 145.012.
The Seahorse on the caseback is still very visible for both watches.
Crowns have both the "skinny" or "flat foot" logo.
The 105.012 (left) looks a bit polished but still, the edges and the brushed effect on the sides are still clearly visible. I think the 145.012 (right) is totally unpolished.
105.012
145.012
The two old ladies hope you enjoyed the thread 馃憤
I wish you a happy Speedy Tuesday!
Cheers.
