I've tried to sign up to this forum and waited months. No progress. Just can't get it at all!

It's always the same:

Fleurtherabbit, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Anyone else had issues - or is it a rabbit issue?

So we have a MWR moderator here @Syrte and as her title suggests we drag her in to do tech support occasionally 😁

Ah! Great.

Your bluntness is apparent; as is the lack of any meaningful point.

MWR does not moderate their Sales board and had a flood of scammers going on just to use that so they limited membership. It’s a great forum and the folks there are very helpful.

There are always people who seem to make life difficult on forums! I'm sorry to hear this.

Like OF, membership on MWR needs approval, and I think it has been that way for a while. IIRC, the big change that MWR made recently is that only members can access the forum. No lurkers. This helps a lot with bots and scammers, but also limits the extent to which google can index MWR posts, which is unfortunate IMO. I generally need to use the internal search engine there, which is not my preference.

Recently joined and had a reply email to confirm and then took a few weeks to get sorted.

Sent a email to moderators from the below screen like yours after 2 weeks and a day later it was all good.

Had a similar problem....was soon sorted though. I second what others are saying; MWR is an excellent forum with a core of really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable folks.

Hi everyone,
always nice to see people appreciate MWR, without getting into technicalities some spam control issues sometimes cause registration delays and it’s a very small admin team.

I’ve flagged @Fleur_the_rabbit’s registration and hope this can get resolved soon. Thanks to @dsio for anointing me “brand ambassador”.

What is the MWR Forum?

I have found it very helpful and people have shared a lot of quality information. It is not as easy to use as OF but well worth the effort.
