Thanks @Stewart A

Current state of play: 505 tickets purchased.

Which is fantastic - it beats last year (by 5!), and it's still a huge amount of money for Movember (even is it's a little short of the target).

If anyone hasn't got their ticket(s) yet, but would like to get involved, you have until Midnight GMT on Monday.

Doing my end of week banking (I sound like my parents), and there's now 拢5140 in my Movember account from ticket sales, plus an extra 拢195 from folks who wanted to contribute but didn't want the opportunity to win a watch.

Adding up some other numbers, and in the month of November 43,200 men worldwide will have taken their own lives.

That's both a staggeringly large number, and quite deeply upsetting.

I know this year that covid deaths have been in the spotlight (it's new, it's frankly terrifying), however there is very clearly a global health crisis when it comes to mental health too.

Just looking at the gents (who account for 75% of all suicides), in 2020, 525,600 men will have decided they can't go on.

Reducing that number doesn't require vaccines, but it does involve listening, giving support, and showing kindness and compassion to those who feel that they are left with no other options.

Much love to everyone who's been able to help out this year, and to everyone who struggles with their mental health - you're good people, and I for one am incredibly grateful for you being around.

If you haven't grabbed your ticket yet, there's still time - head to www.time4apint.com/movember

Support the food cause; final day! Up once more!

I wouldn鈥檛 want to be ungrateful, of course, but would still appreciate more competition to minimize my chances of having to explain yet another addition to the collection. 馃榿

did you record that on a condenser mic? I noticed on the zoom call you just used apple headset.

Studio segments of the podcast get recorded using a Rode Procaster (large capsule Dynamic), and a Tascam DR100 MkIII.

I tend to use wired earbuds on Zoom, as it compresses the quality so much that the bigger more impressive kit tends to not make a dent.

Just made another sneaky purchase. Figure I can't put it in my stocking on Christmas Eve and make the kids believe in Father Christmas that little bit longer.
