Some say it was a prototyp of a Zenith Defy and then they sold the cases and movements with a Movado dial.

I have seen both Zenith dial (Defy) and the Movado Dial "Super Sub Sea".

Be aware that's out there are many different "prototyps.

    Here is mine

Still confused, so is this case legit? I mean is it really produced by Zenith or today.

Yes Zenith an Movado produced it.
But in there are many different variations.
Case and Movement are always the same.
Glass, Dial and Hands are different.

    Some stolen pictures:

I believe these solid-color dials are legit, but the one Charles posted is a franken. The dial belongs to this watch: $_57.JPG

I think before Zenith and Movado went their separate ways, Movado takes what they can and produced watches to increase their profit. Due to this so many different variations of this watch are out there but this is my guess.::confused2::

Thanks LouS, the watch you post is legit for sure. But how can so many franken out there, yet still look fine quality regarding to their cases? Where are those cases coming from?:thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Do you understand the difference between fake and franken? The cases are legitimate Zenith/Movado production. They just didn't belong to this dial. That's a franken. Zenith's 25x2 series of movements had the essentially same dimensions over seven generations/15+ years. That makes case/dial/movement exchanges pretty straightforward.
