Having a very thin wrist has its perks. I can pull off 30-35mm's very well, and so a whole world of undervalued watches are open to me.

When it comes to modern sized watches, however... they look somewhat comical. Doh!

I just received this wonderful Movado Super Sub Sea and am unsure whether to wear it for this reason (also, it's in such good condition...).

Now on to the watch: The watch has its original crystal, with imprinted logo. My camera isn't good enough to capture it.

One of the first things I noticed was the slight difference in lume color on the dial and the hands. I did a little research and it seems that this is consistent with other examples of this model. I'm not sure sure why - was a different lume used? Or at a different depth?

    Anyway, enjoy.

great example of the Movado, a hugely under-appreciated brand for vintage, size aside. I do believe the hands could be replacements, explaining the discrepancy in lume. The hands are the ones used on the sister watch from Zenith. Now, one frequently finds these on this model of Movado, so it could be a factory installed variant. But perhaps even in that case, the lume material was different (Trucked over from the Zenith factory?)

Based on catalog pics, I believe these to be original.

Nice find David! I am sure you'll get used to the size.

    That's an interesting idea...

It's just that I've found other examples with the same discrepancy.

Which is why I propose that it might be a factory variation. Still, quite a potpourri of second hands, no? Three styles in three watches?
