Hi guys, sorry if this post is in the wrong place but I thought it would be more fitting here... if not, I ask the mods to forgive me and move it in the correct place.

Anyway, I saw this little piece at a local dealer and was intrigued... Had read up about this watch before but had totally forgotten about it and so decided to do some digging. Don't have any pics of movement/inside but what are your thoughts on it as is?
It clearly has issues on the dial but what I'm concerned about is the hands. I haven't seen the watch in person (got sent these pics) but I haven't found any version of this watch with what appears to be white hands as opposed to silver/metallic hands. So before I bother the seller and seem to eager, what say you about this and in general?

thanks for the reply.
Do you think these could have been painted over? Seems odd someone would do that, unless they were in a really poor state and if so then wouldn't the hour/minute hands also be in similar state (and therefore with then need to paint as well)?
But in your experience, the hands are correct (sans white)?

Subdial second hand looks wrong.
Others look original.
Paint 'em all to match it maybe?

thanks for the reply. Now that you mention it, and further scrutinizing, that hand does look slightly different to the other 2. Slightly bigger circle at the base and a smidge longer perhaps...
Your theory could be right!

How easy is it to find replacement hands or is it even worth looking into this? I ask because even though I'm not in the market for one, because of these inconsistencies I could probably snatch it for a good price...

 

These are plentiful and are on ebay often.
If you are patient, they can be bought cheap.
Lots offered at $1900 and above but aren't selling.
I think I saw a decent one sell for $1200 a few
months ago. No need to chase them.

What you say is true and valid, however, can you find any of these at 1/3 of that decent one you found?
I don't know... Will have to see how this plays out... as I mentioned, Im not really in the market for anything right now, wish I was!
