    Happy Turkey Day!

I've been scouring eBay, liveauctioneers, bid square and other online bidding platforms for vintage Omega's and have found a variety of seller's to choose from making the hunt that much more time consuming. I wondered if the forum has users to suggest that they have had top notch business with and would recommend checking out every so often for original, high condition, honest pieces. Looking forward to the Omega Forum's seal of approval on some worthy online sellers.

    Best,

    Thomas

I think that you are shorting yourself to reputable Ebay dealers. I would not bypass the original owners that maybe selling their timepieces on the same site. With Ebay, Paypal is your best friend, in case you receive something not as described.
You are also not giving this forums' For Sale sections the same opportunity.

With the bay, sellers have to take into account selling and PP fees, plus profit.

Look around for something you like and begin comparing, doing your homework, asking here for opinions before you buy..

    Good luck!

I have not dealt with this person, don't know him and have no connection with him, but here in the UK *english*auctions* seems to me to offer decent and accurately-described watches and parts on a regular basis. Just my opinion! I'm sure he's not the only one but no others immediately come to mind. As TTG says, it's the occasional sellers who often have the real gems for sale. I've had two really nice vintage Omegas from jewellers who don't specialise in watches and put them on ebay with poor photos that didn't do them justice.

It would be a whole lot easier to name numerous thoroughly disreputable and/or overpriced dealers, but perhaps we don't want to go down that road here.

Michael at English auctions is one of the most respected members on the forum.
Anything you buy from him will be the real deal.

Original or clueless owners on ebay are the best...if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have a collection!
