Some time ago I noticed this very over the top Patek and posted it in a Longines thread about wonder watches.... (yeah it was a thread drift).



And so it was impressive to see a celebrity identified as wearing it (see below). So are there any extremely over the top watches actually purchased and worn by men?

I think some musician spoke about the virtues of the rainbow Daytona on a Hodinkee video some weeks ago, how he liked to wear it. Forgot the guy's name.

There is a market for those, apparently.

 

Indeed there is. Happened to meet a collector with one at Baselworld. It is gaudy, but in the flesh you just have to take a look...although I like this one more, with the rainbow indices

 

Somehow the rainbow markers look better indeed.

It would go well with some mink fur, platform shoes, and a 6 meters long pink Cadillac

 

there are gaudy watches and then there are blin blin divers, like the diamond-covered Ploprof...

 

...and a zebra-skinned thong!

 

Honestly anything that is just diamonds.
