Some people have been chugging a bit to heavily of the bullshit juice, including the buyer.

 

Yeah, somebody was drunk when they pushed the buy button

 

It seemed to me as I watched the auction, that the auctioneer knew the names of many of the people in the room who were bidding on watches all day long. However, when it came to the Elvis watch, suddenly there were a bunch of new bidders whose names the auctioneer didn't know, including the ultimate purchaser. After a day of selling desirable watches, he sold an entirely different type of item at the end.

 

The Omega Museum was the eventual winner of the watch.

Based on the engraving Elvis received the watch as a gift, but did "The King" actually wear the watch?

 

There was a picture of him wearing it at one stage, many moons ago and to lazy to search ( it's Sunday after tequila Saturday )
