New to the forum so apologies for this.

So I had the OEM black rally strap and unfortunately it deteriorated quite badly with the leather peeling near the deployment, looked crap so took it in to omega who agreed to replace it or I could choose another strap and pay the difference.

Now I have two straps on hold at the Omega boutique for me and I can’t decide what would look best on my moonwatch.

Snoopy strap. Looks cool on a moonwatch in most of the pics I have seen.

Tan barenia from Speedmaster 57. Again looks great and would hopefully age well. But I do see loads of different brown straps that I could likely get cheaper.

Leaning towards the snoopy strap what would you guys do?

Ps I’m loving the watch back on the bracelet now too!!

 

I agree with you that the Snoopy strap looks great and doesn't have as many alternatives. So between these two, my vote goes to the Snoopy strap.

Neither, don't go with OEM, go custom. Much cheaper and better quality. Check list of recommended strapmakers on sticky

 

I am in credit with the store though. So it is OEM options im keen on right now. Also hence why I’m leaning towards the snoopy as brown leather customs would be easy to come by I would imagine.

 

Plus I thought the Omega OEM quality was top notch. That’s at least what I have read

No really. I was a diehard OEM guy before too. And then later when I went to the custom strapmaking world, wow, I realized just how much money I was wasting..

If it's free, well, why not pick what's the easiest to sell online, and then use that money to get a nice custom one

 

Could you recommend some custom strap makers to look at then please?

 

Personally I go with NOSTIME, their straps are super top notch. Very comfortable and supple. Ages great as well. You can ask for all sorts of different combinations too.

If they are the choices. I’d go snoopy and source a brown strap elsewhere

 

That’s the way I’m leaning but happy to take suggestions on other OEM straps

Agreed on Snoopy. You should get better wear out of it vs barenia

 

That’s good to know as the rallye strap has “worn” terribly in under 6 months use. Falling apart
