Moonwatch on US Soyuz

Just picked up and fitted the Uncle Seilo Soyuz bracelet. The supplied solid end links would not allow pin engagement however I just used some 633’s I had. I prefer these open bent metal end links anyway as they feel more vintalfge. The bracelet itself is excellent and feels smooth, no sharp edges as with cheaper ones I’ve seen. Fitted a Canada clasp to complete the look and I’m veryhappy with it. I have other US bracelets plus a Forstner mesh and gen’ 1179 and original but this one is the one. Highly recommended.

Looks good! Thanks for sharing. I didn’t know anything about these Soyuz bracelets (original or aftermarket). I like the bracelet but it doesn’t appear it will fit a 3861. Good thing I’m quiet happy with the factory bracelet. For now…

The standard bracelet is very nice but imo too heavy and not tapered enough. I don’t think it suits the watch. I changed the clasp on mine with genuine parts, 6 click clasp and it is comfy but I didn’t like it. I then bought a genuine new issue 1171 at €500 which I think suits the watch better. Uncle Seiko then released the 1171 and 1035 flat link versions and bought both of those. Both great value and quality and well worth having. I then couldn’t help getting a Forstner mesh which is a great historical strap. Speedmasters and their owners seem to love mixing it up bracelet wise! I’ve always liked oyster steel bands and until recently hadn’t realised that Omega had used one on the Speedmaster and after a quick look around found out that thankfully Uncle Seiko gave us this option. Great quality and fit and also, again, value for money. I’d bought a couple of clasp covers from a Canadian seller, rep’ or gen’ who knows but they fit perfectly on the US bracelets. Thanks again to U.Seiko for the great choice of bands he does. At least we can swap and change at a decent price point to suit our tastes.
