    Gents,

i won an ebay action for nice a Moonwatch but the lack of a serial number on the 7 o'clock lug is concerning. What do you guys think from the ebay photos? From what i read the pre 90's models come without it and i also read that gray market watches wont have one as well. The watch has been paid for and should arrive this week. I know i am covered under PayPal but any and all help will be appreciated.

It looks a legit older model to me. It is pre 80 model. What gives? The bracelet, which is 1171 model, used between 1968 to 1980.

To be precise ( by 1-2 years) you should open the watch and see the serial number in the movement.

Of course it would not have serial number laser etched on the lugs. The movement will be Cal 861.

Your watch looks line in very good condition. Even almost NOS (new old stock). You got good price. However you should service it before use it daily, so set aside budget for that.
