Omega Moonwatch Bezel Insert Help and Fitment Advice

I bought this recently, and the insert is in worse shape than what it appeared online.
I knew it was bad going in, but not this bad so it’s totally on me.

The watch dates to about 1982. How hard is it to find the correct insert?

Other than that, the watch keeps outstanding time and I don’t mind that it has somewhere in tear on it because it’s going to be my daily watch.

Has the original 1171 bracelet and 633 and links. Definitely some stretch but very comfortable!

How would you guys approach the insert?

You wouldn’t get a replacement insert, you’d get a fully bezel. Not too hard to find one of these in good condition and thankfully much cheaper than a 60’s dot over ninety version

Also I'm pretty sure that's a fake / aftermarket bezel. It was when I bought one from that seller.

I just read through the 101 site and it doesn't show much on the bezels or watches after 1978. It just lists the Black Base 500 DO90 like it does from the early 70's. I used to have the MoonWatch only book but let it go. I'll probably find that again.

A watch from 84 should have the same bezel as one from 74 - the same B2 type bezel was used from 1970 to the late 80’s.
