·One could be persuaded that the "smart" way to sell the Moonswatch would be online with a "notify" when the one you want is available, they would be able to gauge demand for which version is selling the best, but you'd be missing the point. The real reason is to get you into a Boutique to see and hopefully buy a " real" Omega.
Personally, I'm not driving hours at $4 a gallon to wait in line to buy what is, in reality, a cheap, non-repairabe imitation. Seriously, it's savvy marketing, but not for me. I'm very happy with my Sapphire Sandwich. I've worn a watch since I was 5, always a mechanical, and have always regarded them as a "timepiece" not a fashion accessory, at 75 I'm hopelessly out of date, but have now owned 3 Speedmasters, enjoy wearing one every day.
