Moonphase setting

Just got a white snoopy moonphase but how do you set the moonphase? The video on YouTube says pull the crown out all the way and push the lower one. That moves the hour in the left dial, not snoopy in the right dial. Setting the time does move that dial. Wtf, over? Swatch instructions are useless.

Press and HOLD the bottom pusher with the crown fully pulled out. It will cycle through three different speeds for Snoopy movement. I don't own one but that's what the first YouTube video I came across said. Pushing the button and releasing it moves Snoopy just one hour, almost imperceptible, it's for fine adjustment.

Yeah been there done that. Doesn’t work. Holding it spins the left hour dial.

Are you sure you have crown pulled out to second position? Maybe Omega and Swatch are just playing with you, first your white dial $8,100 white dial crapped out, and now a bum Snoopy.

Makes me wonder. Yes, the crown is pulled out all the way.

Did you try the top pusher? First crown position and then top and bottom pushers? ETA 251.262 used to adjust the hands like that.

I think it’s fake. It looks good but it feels like plastic, the crown doesn’t fit correctly and it won’t set the moonphase. I complained to the seller and will probably get most of the money back and just keep it.

Here it is. Watched a video of how to set it and in the replies I’m not the only one that has this issue. But the guy who did the video won’t respond to any of us.

Yours is fake.

For a first point of comparison, look at your running seconds hand- it falls quite short of reaching the tick mark.

For a second, look at all of your hour markers- they all look like they are sitting on a platform. They have a hard ridge around them.

And finally, just compare your moon, “dream”, and texture/color of the white.

Thanks for the confirmation. Maybe ebay needs to have these sent for authentication also...

The seller is going to refund me 3/4 of the cost and I'm keeping it. Why not? I did examine my other swatch and it is real. But it came with the receipt from a Swatch store.

Man I can't even believe they're faking these, but I guess ... given my pic was one of the "real"examples I guess I feel better it's real.

It was odd (to me) though when I bought it:

  • The sales person went into the back and came out holding the MoonSwatch box like it was a bar of gold
  • He then made me observe him slice stickers, open the box, and remove the watch
  • He then had me hold the watch while he validated some sticker, UPC codes, other codes, etc
  • Then I had to re-box the watch while he watched, then he rang it up

Honestly if I had known all that was going to happen I might not have purchased it because if counterfeits are this prevalent, I don't care enough.

That said, I do love it and am glad I have it, but holy shiite.

It's Swatch Group's own fault making them so hard to get. They were supposed to be available online, then became store only. And there aren't many of them. I'm 5 minutes from an Omega AD, 2.5 hours from the OB, and 400 miles from a Swatch store.
