I think he has nice watches, but there is a cost premium (maybe 15-20%) that comes from buying from a dealer like this. The only real way to know that a watch is legit is to learn the watch. People say "buy the seller" which is a sentiment I certainly understand but in my opinion it is easier to learn everything about a watch than it is about a person. Once you've absorbed enough information about a given reference, you can discern polishing or refinishing or incorrect parts yourself and not have to rely on a seller's reputation.

The asking price premium looks to be about 100%, IMO. Not sure what is so special about the no-name dealers, just because they have a website and take professional photos.

I agree as well. I think the "buy the seller" sentiment is important if something ends up happening with the watch. Is this dealer known to stand behind the product their selling and do the right thing?
